How to use this calculator
Fill in up to seven days. Each day is calculated separately in whole minutes, then the exact minute totals are added. This avoids accumulating errors from rounding daily decimal hours. Print the sheet or export its daily values as CSV.
Formula
Net hours = Σ (Elapsed time − Unpaid breaks)
Worked example
Five days from 09:00 to 17:30 with a 30-minute unpaid break each day produce 40 net hours. Total elapsed time is 42 hours 30 minutes and total breaks are 2 hours 30 minutes.
Assumptions and limits
A blank day is ignored only when both times are empty and its break is zero. Every entered shift is at most 24 hours. The table covers seven entries and does not detect overlaps between different days.
Frequently asked questions
Does the weekly total round each day?
No. Daily shifts and weekly totals use integer minutes. Decimal hours are a display of the final total; they are not added after rounding.
Are the results decimal hours or clock time?
Both are shown where useful. Decimal hours divide minutes by 60; a duration such as 7 h 30 min is 7.5 hours.
Are my times uploaded?
No. Calculations run in your browser. Saved inputs remain on this device until reset or cleared in browser site-data settings.
Wall-clock minutes only. Earlier end times cross midnight; equal times mean zero. No time-zone or daylight-saving adjustments.
